Support Services

Enabling Independence, Confidence, and Community Connection Across Somerset

At Southwest Care-Line, we offer personalised support services for adults with autism, learning disabilities, and a wide range of additional needs. Our aim is simple, to help people live active, fulfilling lives, with choice, control, and connection to their local communities.

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to pursue their interests, build confidence, and enjoy the world around them, in their own way, at their own pace.

Our Support Services Include

Whether you live independently, with family, or in supported accommodation, we offer flexible, one-to-one or small group support to help you:

  • Access Your Local Community

Support to explore places like shops, cafés, libraries, sports centres, places of worship, or community events — safely and with confidence.

  • Enjoy Days Out and Holidays

Assistance with planning, budgeting, and attending day trips or short breaks, whether it’s a beach day in Weston-super-Mare or a holiday in Devon or beyond.

  • Pursue Personal Hobbies and Interests

Support to try new activities or build skills in things you already love — whether that’s art, gaming, gardening, music, cooking, or volunteering.

  • Manage Everyday Life Skills

Help with travel training, shopping, money management, appointments, communication, or using technology to build confidence and independence.

  • Develop Social Skills and Friendships

Encouraging connection, conversation, and inclusion — whether in a group activity, at a community group, or simply meeting new people.

  • Plan Your Own Routine

Flexible support that fits around you. We’ll help you set your own goals, shape your schedule, and do more of what makes you feel happy, safe, and in control.

Our support services are suitable for people aged 18 and over, including:

  • Adults with a learning disability
